Client: Department of Arts & Sciences at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville
Project: Social Media Marketing
While working for Arts & Sciences Advising, I was tasked with running the social media accounts, primarily focusing on Instagram, for the Department of Arts & Sciences. My role involved creating engaging content that highlighted the department’s professors, students, and events. I interviewed and photographed professors across the department to feature them in posts, showcasing their expertise and contributions. I also photographed and promoted upcoming events to ensure they gained visibility among students and faculty.
In addition, I coordinated with students to plan and execute Instagram takeovers, where they could share a “day in the life” within their specific major, offering an authentic perspective on the student experience. To further grow the department’s online presence, I created and executed several campaigns aimed at increasing engagement and followers. As a result, I successfully grew the Instagram following from just 52 to over 1,000 in just a few months, significantly boosting the department's visibility and engagement with current and prospective students.
